Bridges of New York

UPSTATE NY

The Bridges of New York - Bishop Costantino home is a residential center for alcohol and drug dependent men. The directive is to assist in restoring each resident to the highest possible level of spiritual, physical, emotional and social health.

The Bishop Costantino Home provides assistance to men with a history of substance abuse problems and/or drug related crimes. The home is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment, and also to encourage fellowship.
Our case managers direct the residents to the proper community resources and work directly with our community partners to assure of optimal care.

Self-help groups such as Overcomers, AA, NA, and CA are available weekly, as well as various church-related services.  Each staff member acts as a role model to initiate the process that will bring about the changes necessary in breaking the addictive cycle.

The home hosts a mixed population of male clients and offers the opportunity for each one to meet Christ and enter into the body of Christ, if they so choose. Bridges of New York's services also include employment resources, community speakers, participation in outside activities, and referral information. Case managers are available for consultation with employers, courts, schools, physicians, and for family-related matters.

There are many ways you can get involved:  Cooking a meal any night of the week for the clients, becoming a mentor for a client and helping them navigate the system, sharing about your recovery at our Wednesday night House Meeting, or doing repair work around the home. Bridges is also a non-profit organization, and monetary donations, food donations and gift cards help tremendously with offsetting the enormous cost involved in saving a life.
